The Brown Clipper (Parthenos sylvia philippinensis) is a species of fast-flying nymphalid butterfly found in South and South-East Asia. The Clipper butterfly flight consists of short periods of gliding, alternating every few seconds with shallow but rapid flickering wing beats.
